What is ELO?

ELO (Enveloppe Logistique Obligatoire) is a digital "logistics envelope" that combines all required declarations and customs documents of a vehicle into one barcode.

The ELO code is scanned in the French Smart Border system before boarding the ferry or Eurotunnel. Instead of showing multiple documents (ENS numbers, import/export documents, transit papers, security declarations), everything is linked in one digital ELO number.
