📦 What ELO Is

ELO (“Enveloppe Logistique Obligatoire”) is a digital customs envelope that groups all required declarations and documentation for a truck into a single barcode. This barcode is scanned at the French Smart Border before a truck boards a ferry or the Channel Tunnel.

Instead of the driver showing many papers (ENS refs, import/export docs, transit docs, safety/security declarations), everything is bundled together digitally under one reference.

👨‍💼 Responsibility & Who Creates It

An ELO must be created before the truck arrives at the border by:

-The exporter/importer

-The haulier

-The customs agent

-A logistics partner

Only one ELO per vehicle !!!
